Although weíve reported on the 2013 Ford Focus STís active sound symposer before, the automaker has just released a new video demonstrating how it sounds as the engine is rowed through its gears. Like the Mustang, a sound tube pipes air induction noise directly into the cabin, but the Focus STís sound symposer takes it a step further by only allowing a specific frequency range through an electronically controlled valve depending on engine speed, the position of the accelerator pedal, and gear selection.

In the video, office noises fill the air as one worker anticipates the lunch hourís arrival. As the clock strikes 12, keys are snatched off the desk for a quick drive in the Focus ST. The 252-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter engine growls as it carves through windy back roads. Once the clock reads 1 p.m., the keys are dropped back on the desk and a slight smile indicates the office worker is ready to finish the day.
