Gee I like the lines on the silver one.

That side on of the red one does it for me. Wow, what a stunner!

Yep the red one with the first interior. Looks modern and mean and something that you could sell globally. The interior has much better cohesion and that passenger side lip is not as prevalent.

I stand corrected.
They can design an interior when they want.

They were probably the attempts by Europe and Australia.

I wonder what the other designs were for the AU Falcon?

I'm sure after that effort the designer who did the AU is probably buried in a shallow grave somewhere near Mt Macedon.

personally, and just because I own one, I still think the AU has some good lines, and looks way less dated than the Ba/BF
But then again, we all have opinions

Steve Park was the Aussie who designed it and Jac Nasser approved it, he was head at Dearborn at the time but also an Aussie. So it was an all-Aussie effort which explains why it was so great. Timeless design.

I like the AU Fairlane, the TS50 and series III Fairmont Ghia.

I'm not a fan of BA/BF either though, especially the interiors.

He is probably still looking for a job LOL, or he didn't include it on his resume.

If you actually see the drawings of the AU they looked really nice. The problem is when they go to make it and it either can't be done or its too expensive.

I doubt it ... didn't Mercedes grab him?

I'm not sure if you're just taking the p!ss mate - in 1994 the Falcon was decreed to die by Ford US. They were going FWD whether we liked it or not. It wasn't until the Aussie team designed the complete "next" model entirely here and got the yanks over here to show the car off that they relinquished and allowed Falcon to continue. Without AU (designated because it was all AU design) there'd be no B-Series, no FGs (a pretty good car) and definitely no Falcon GTs or -P, -E, -F.

I keep telling them, Jeff, but they just don't listen.
